FEBRUARY-the LOVE MONTH This February we will again show our LOVE for the young children of Henderson County by donating diapers and wipes to support the Children & Family Resource Center diaper distribution program. Diapers are a necessity that all children require and are as essential as food, shelter, and clothing yet, most state and national safety-net programs do not recognize them as a basic need. One in three American families struggle to meet the need for diapers. Presently the Children & Family Resource Center provides diapers for 201 families, some with several children. This is an increase from 80+ last year. They need all sizes from O/NB to size 7 and also need pull-ups, sizes 2/3T, 3/4T and 4/5T. But they especially need sizes 4,5,and 6. Fragrance free and/or sensitive baby wipes are best. They also get requests for diaper rash cream and baby shampoo/body wash. We exceeded last year’s goal of 5,000 diapers so our goal this year is to collect 10,000 diapers.
