The season of the church called Lent begins on March 2nd. Lent is the six-week season in which we follow Jesus as he journeys toward the cross. It begins with Ash Wednesday – a day of repentance and recognition of our need for God’s grace. It ends in Holy Week and the coming of Easter and Jesus’ resurrection. In between is the time when we examine our own lives in the light of Jesus’ life, teachings, and actions, so that we may grow into more deeply formed disciples.
